February 2008 In this Issue Hello Again... Valentine's Day is right around the corner. Time to get those flowers ordered and dinner reservations made. Our plans? Fifth Letter will be giving a talk at the Center for Design Innovation (CDI) in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, as part of their speaker series. The subject? Our nonprofit grant program. Design Grants for Community Consciousness 
Many of you are already familiar with our Design Grant Program. Perhaps you applied for one of our grants or know someone who did. Maybe you read one of our press releases or visited our website. Or it just may have been the result of a certain email-based newsletter. We invite you to be a part of our audience next Thursday, February 14, from 12 noon - 1 pm. Our talk, entitled "Design Grants for Community Consciousness," will be held in the CDI's offices, located on the 21st floor of Winston Tower, in downtown Winston-Salem. We will discuss the first year of our program, the results of our initiative, and where we would like to take it in the future. We will also have work samples on-hand as well as the clients themselves to elaborate on how they were able to meet the grant program criteria and determined the type of project to ask for.
